Our Facility

Our state-of-the-art facility allows us to develop and implement a comprehensive orthopedic rehabilitation program. We offer a full array of aerobic equipment and all of the traditional passive physical therapy modalities for pain control and muscle strengthening including mechanical traction, ultrasound, phonophoresis, iontophoresis and electrical stimulation.

Our clinic features several advanced exercise machines to assist in specific exercise prescription as well as equipment that is used to re-develop the sense of balance that is often loss in response to an injury.

  • AlterG Anti-Gravity Treadmill – SportsCare Physical Therapy is proud to be one of the few clinics in the metro area to feature the AlterG Anti-Gravity Treadmill. Developed by NASA and approved by the FDA as a medical device, the AlterG has been a tremendous success for patients in treatment and rehabilitation as well as athletes and fitness enthusiasts. It is improving both patient recovery times and outcomes.
  • Biodex System IV – we are the only clinic in the area with the Biodex System IV, which is a multi-mode computerized robotic dynamometer. This highly technical device is used for specific exercise and is in the athletic training rooms of 37 professional sports teams. The Biodex System IV is used for testing neuromuscular strength. The data it produces is so consistent, accurate and objective that it is used in research laboratories worldwide.
  • Body Master and Lojer pulley isotonic strengthening equipment – the Lojer devices are a specialized Scandinavian pulley system (known as Medical Exercise Training) that allow us to increase the resistance to muscles in increments as low as 250 grams, which is helpful for strengthening injured and weak tissues.
  • Impulse inertial exercise device – is an innovative piece of equipment that allows us to custom design exercises that mimic the acceleration and deceleration phases of the actual activity to which our patients are trying to return. The Impulse helps in developing the body’s neuromuscular capabilities as related to power, coordination, proprioception, joint stabilization and fast reactive motor control.
